Time Stealers: Time Keepers Chronicles 1 by P. Clauss is an intriguing novel about a group of people who call themselves the Time Keepers. They have the gift of being able to see the time wraiths, the name they give to beings that live in antique clocks. The story unravels at the clock shop belonging to Grant, himself a Time Keeper, where he is attending to some customers. Just before closing time, Charlotte enters his shop and asks him strange questions. What follows is a series of events that reveal to Grant and Charlotte that these time wraiths that can alter our perception of time may be manipulated in such a way that the economy, government, finances, and society itself could collapse. The Time Keepers have to work together to find the vault controller and prevent this from happening.

Time Stealers by P. Clauss is a fast-paced and original novel that introduces us to small, mysterious creatures that live in antique clocks, stewarded by the Time Keepers. The suspense starts immediately when a devious plan is revealed that could destroy human society as we know it. I found the characters to be highly interesting and unusual. The story’s twists and turns are logical and easy to follow. The villain is a character that is easy to hate so readers will find themselves rooting for Grant and Charlotte. This novel is a page-turner because so much is at stake. Clauss is one of those authors with a fertile imagination and the talent to weave a believable story that is thrilling up to the end. Highly recommended.

Grant Stone is a Time Keeper. With the help of good Time Wraiths, he has lived for several centuries. In his clock shop basement, he keeps trapped evil wraiths that cause people to lose time. Charlotte Wright comes into the shop and tells him there is something alive in her grandfather’s clocks. Grant is surprised that someone else can see wraiths. She tells him her grandfather is dying and wants to know if the good wraiths can keep him alive. Her brother Curtis has a device that can control and kill wraiths, and Grant suspects a malevolent Time Keeper is behind the scheme to use wraiths and take over the world. During his investigation to unmask the evil Time Keeper, he thinks that Charlotte might be the Ultimate Time Keeper who can control wraiths.

With Time Stealers: Time Keepers Chronicles 1, author P. Clauss introduces readers to an interesting concept – nebulous spirits who inhabit old grandfather clocks. Why they live in clocks is a mystery that keeps readers guessing. The society of Time Keepers around the world has a responsibility to restrain evil wraiths, but a murky scheme by one of the Time Keepers throws Grant and Charlotte together to prevent evil wraiths from waging war on mankind. P. Clauss has an engaging writing style that makes reading Time Stealers an enjoyable task. The story is fast-paced and the lack of characterization will be mostly overlooked. Readers who enjoy the unusual will find Time Keepers a diverting read and will be eager to pick up the second novel in the series.

Time Stealers is a work of fiction in the fantasy romance subgenre and serves as the opening installment of the Time Keepers Chronicles series. It is suitable for the general reading audience and was penned by author P Clauss. The book follows protagonist Grant Stone, the proprietor of a clock shop, who finds himself sucked into an incredible secret as he works alongside a tiny race of beings who live inside clocks. As Grant learns more about the strange and wonderful clock dwellers who work hard to keep humanity safe, he learns of a threat to both humans and non-humans alike; one that threatens the objective reality of time itself.

I will always have a soft spot in my heart for fantasy works that focus on a fantastical world that sits just next to ours rather than in some far away and inaccessible land, and this book quickly draws the reader in with engaging world-building that will have readers looking twice every time they walk past a clock. Author P Clauss deploys expert prose to portray this world and the people living in it, constantly managing to walk the thin line between imaginative fantasy and the real world around it to build something that I, as a reader, felt like I could reach out and touch and be a part of, if only I knew how to look for it. Overall, Time Stealers tells an exciting story about the nature of time and the role it plays in our lives, and it does so through an imaginative world, compelling characters, and well-considered prose.

A secret is hidden among particular clocks. Time Wraiths live in clocks and have always been around. When the clock stops running, they are awake and can come out. Like people, there is good or bad among them. Their power over time can make a day seem faster or seem slower. Some Wraiths delay time on purpose to cause accidents while others do it to prevent accidents. They are aware of what their power of time loss could do but it depends on the Wraith whether they use it for bad or good. To keep these Wraiths in check, there are Time Keepers. They are a loose-knit society that can see Time Wraiths. They work to keep the perception of time in balance. Grant Stone is one of them. One day, he gets a strange visit from a nervous woman asking for his help. He finds himself embroiled in something unexpected and new. He realizes that there may be more to Time Wraiths than he first thought. Read Time Stealers by P Clauss and find yourself immersed in the fantastical and mysterious world of the Time Keepers.

P Clauss constructed a unique plotline and an interesting world in Time Stealers. The first chapter opened my eyes to the mysterious world of the Time Keepers and the appearance of the main character, Grant Stone, had me charmed and hooked. Grant was tall, dark, and handsome but there was more to his cover as a clock shop owner. Time Stealer’s narrative is detailed with well-rounded characters that served as a strong foundation for the story. The deeper I read the more hooked I was! The plotline was distinctive and often kept me guessing. I wanted to know more about what was happening and why it was happening so I could hardly put the book down! The story came alive in my mind because of its elaborate portrayal and realistic description of the characters. It was easy to visualize this evenly-paced and diverting story. This romance fantasy has taken me on an exciting journey I will never forget! Excellent work!

Time Stealers is the first book in the Time Keeper Chronicles by P. Clauss. When a young woman named Charlotte Wright entered Grant Stone's antique clock shop, he never imagined that she would have such a peculiar effect on a time-wraith named Becker, who lived inside one of the clocks. Upon learning that Grant is a Time Keeper, Charlotte informs him about the failing health of her grandfather, Weldon Gregory, a long-time friend of his. Meanwhile, Charlotte's brother Curtis has found a way to bring most of the wraiths under his control and uses them to do his nefarious bidding. Now, Grant, Charlotte, and a fellow Time Keeper named John must prepare to stand up against Curtis and his wraiths before they destroy the sanctity of time. But there is a traitor amongst the Keepers, pulling the strings from behind the scenes.

A smooth mix of fantasy, mystery, and action makes Time Stealers a stellar introductory installment in what promises to be a fascinating fantasy saga. P. Clauss does not simply throw the reader into an already-built fantasy but instead chooses to peel away the layers of that world and its characters one step at a time. This makes for inherently compelling protagonists that you have time to become attached to and adds to an immersive reading experience. The plot is full of unexpected reveals and curveballs that you never see coming. This book feels very much as if it is setting the scene for a much larger story. I thoroughly enjoyed it and heartily recommend it to fantasy lovers.
