Author Biography

Born and raised in Maryland, USA, Terri Kelleher now resides in Ireland where she works as a freelance illustrator/artist, and children's book author. She has illustrated many children's books (including 6 of her own) and in 2014 she received the Kuykendall Award for Excellence in Illustration for her artwork in "Couga Meets Maggie" by Nancy Scalabroni.

Tiny Paper Bird by Terri Kelleher is a heartwarming and captivating tale. The story begins as a group of children leave behind a fragile paper bird. The paper bird starts off on an adventure that will change its life. The paper bird comes into contact with many different birds and even a human. But the struggles that the paper bird faces are what shapes the bird into a strong and beautiful creature. The paper bird finds that there are many different creatures in this world and that makes each one special. The journey creates a transformation in personal character as well as in body. When the paper bird thought that he was forever lost, the journey on which he embarked brought him peace.

We all take a journey in life that transforms us into the person that we want to be. Tiny Paper Bird is such a beautiful tale. I fell in love with this story. I think that everyone can relate to the struggles we have in transforming into the person that we want to be. The story is very rich in morality and the illustrations are nothing short of beautiful. I felt joy and peace as I embarked on this journey. I followed this paper bird on his travels through hardship and peace. This tale can be appreciated by people of all ages. I encourage you to take a journey with Tiny Paper Bird.
