Trouble with Chocolate: Meeda and Me (Book #4) by Rhonda Paglia is a beautifully illustrated children’s book centered around Sofie Margaret and her imaginary best friend, Meeda, who lives in the mirror. Sofie and Meeda appear to live as one because when Sofie gets into trouble, so does Meeda. Sofie is your average child and she loves math. Her friend Meeda teaches her some math tricks that can help Sofie improve and advance her math skills. One day, Sofie decides to reward herself with chocolates for all of her good efforts. Not only does she reward herself and Meeda, but she decides that she wants to share her chocolates with another imaginary friend, Woozler. Woozler lives in the apple tree in the family’s backyard. Sofie and Meeda leave some chocolate trails by the apple tree for Woozler and then the adventures begin.

Trouble with Chocolate: Meeda and Me (Book #4) by Rhonda Paglia is a great book for new beginners and early readers because its fun story line and illustrations would make a child want to develop an interest in reading. The illustrations are large and colorful. Children love it when there are imaginary friends involved and when mischief and adventures arise. As I read Trouble with Chocolate: Meeda and Me (Book #4) by Rhonda Paglia, I was reminded of when one day I was in the library and it was children’s day and the librarian was reading a children’s book for first graders. To sit and watch the excitement of the children as they listened and got involved in the story reminded me of how Trouble with Chocolate: Meeda and Me (Book #4) could have this same effect. I am sure that children would love this story. I did.
