Teri Lee has captured teenage curiousity mixed with naiveté that comes with youth in Troubled Spirits. High school student Annie Mae Waters, named after her grandmother Annie Mae Brown, has been connected to ghosts since her birth when her grandmother appeared in the delivery room to her mother. However, Annie has always been embarrassed by this story and didn't believe in ghosts until tragedy struck her family and she and her mother moved to a new state. Annie's new best friend, Harmony, was in awe of the television show Ghost Adventures and its star Zak. Harmony convinced Annie to experience the paranormal with her and their group of friends. Almost instantly an angry spirit latched onto Annie and put her and her friends in grave danger. Shortly thereafter, Annie met a young man named Drew at the library and he helped her locate a spell to get rid of this evil spirit. More information comes to light about the bad spirit and a mystery is revealed when Annie discovered her grandmother's diary in a secret compartment in her house. The big question is will the information be able to save Annie and her friends, and just who is the mysterious young man from the library?

Troubled Spirits will not only transport you into the world of the unknown and the paranormal, but you will embrace the characters as you feel their nervous excitement. Annie and her friends are not simply focused on hunting down ghosts. They are normal teenagers who feel their hearts go pitter-patter when that special boy or girl asks them on a date or they experience that first kiss. Interweaving love, grief, fear, and healing amidst teenage paranormal experiences, Teri Lee's Troubled Spirits expresses a wealth of trouble for all the spirits - living and dead. Yet, in the end they find a way to overcome the trouble and find joy and happiness.
