Trust Your Intuition: Shift Your Perspective is a work of non-fiction in the new age and motivational writing subgenres. It is best suited to the general adult reading audience and was penned by Robin Pollak. As its title suggests, this is a work that focuses on new age techniques for looking beyond the mere objective facts of any situation, but also connecting them with our intuition and the energies around us which we can feel every day if we are receptive to them. Packed with anecdotes from the author’s own life, Pollak explains how to reimagine ourselves more freely and trust ourselves wholly.

Authenticity can be a buzzword these days, but authors like Robin Pollak get what it means to be authentic and to live your truth every day. No matter what your belief system was when going into this book, there’s much to learn about trusting yourself and how you perceive and interpret the world. This can then be utilized to build a better life where you make more contented choices that align with your heart’s desires rather than the worldly expectations of you. The narrative style speaks volumes of the author’s inner wisdom and warmth, and the reading experience feels as if a dear friend is telling you their inspiring story of self-discovery. I also felt that there was a clear logic to the work which builds on its ideas and complexity, easing readers in gently and later intensifying the message to make it even more motivating. I would recommend Trust Your Intuition to readers seeking self-assurance and guidance at pressured times in their lives.

When something doesn't feel right, it just isn't, and when something does, you know it. Robin Pollak's Trust Your Intuition is a self-help guide to assist readers in learning to trust their innate wisdom. We all have intuition but quite often harbor doubts and refuse to back ourselves. According to Robin, we need to nurture the part that allows us to have trust and faith and recognize our value and worth. Tap into your intuitive wisdom and couple it with what you've learned from books or lectures to live a life of fulfillment. At the end of each chapter, there are supporting affirmations and inspirational quotes that highlight the topics discussed. Using personal anecdotes and real-life stories, the author offers creative ways to achieve stillness within yourself and allow your intuition to flourish.

Trust Your Intuition is an illuminating book that sheds light on how people can use their inherent gifts and merge them with aspects of what they have learned from experience and by-the-book learning to live an authentic life they can be proud of. Robin Pollak's smooth writing style makes the narrative sail past without any hurdles, and you find yourself immersed in the content from the outset. The narrative is accessible and engaging to read. What I liked most about the book was that you don't have to do something extraordinary to apply the tools and insights that the author shares, just bring a slight shift into your perspective of how you approach life. Highly recommended.

My father used to say that if you don't follow advice, you end up paying for the experience. Needless to say, there was quite a lot of payment from me over the years but there was nothing in that saying about listening to your gut. There are those times when you are determined to go one way but that little voice at the back of your head keeps telling you that you should do the opposite. Many times that little voice called your intuition is right but what happens when you lack the courage to listen and act? Robin Pollak uses a series of events that happened to her and shaped the individual she became to explain the importance of listening to logic from your heart. Trust Your Intuition is her story.

Robin Pollak's emotional account is quite moving as she does not spare herself the embarrassing details and in some instances, those details brought me close to tears. Her explanations are clear and straightforward but where they are not so obvious she uses incidents to paint a helpful picture. The poem-like sections at the end of the chapters did not stand out for me initially, as I could not make out why they were there, but eventually, I got used to seeing them and even looked forward to reciting them. Trust Your Intuition is one self-help book that shows promise beyond offering motivation and guidance. I can confidently attest that if you follow the directions carefully you will see a difference in your output after a while. This is an interesting book, unusual in approach but well worth the time I took to read it.
