Twentyone Olive Trees by Laura Formentini is the story of “A Mother’s Walk Through the Grief of Suicide to Hope and Healing”, which follows Laura’s long journey from heartache to recovery from the loss of her beautiful child. Laura makes use of tales and poems to share her life lessons with us, showing readers that it is possible to create a new life through transformation. The author has included photos and pictures to illustrate her experience, teaching us to cope with grief. Laura has created a healing center in honor of Blaise and planted 21 olive trees, one for each year of his life. Olive trees symbolize everything about Blaise, including peace, wisdom, immortality, and regeneration. This moving book helps the reader to understand how it feels to lose a child and the best way to recover.

Twentyone Olive Trees is a must-read for everyone because at some time in our lives we all experience the loss of a loved one. Laura Formentini has penned a phenomenal book that serves as a guide to healing and is an absolute delight to read. I thoroughly enjoyed the stories and the poems and illustrations are beautiful. Including a photo of Blaise makes the book more personal and he certainly was a handsome, kind young man with morals and principles taught to him by Laura. They clearly enjoyed a wonderful life together which was brought to an abrupt end, but Laura found a way to cope with her tragic loss and shares her journey with us. Thank you to this fantastic author!
