TWSC: A Shrouded Autobiography by Tenacity is an exciting story about the first of the baby boom generation and the dilemmas they faced growing up in the shadow of the “greatest generation.” Having to contend with the Cold War, Communism, the assassinations of America’s greatest leaders, the civil rights movement, the Vietnam War, and gender equality, Tenacity’s story is his generation’s story. This is Tenacity’s account of walking a tightrope while being pulled by opposing forces. Tenacity illustrates this in one episode by describing his strict, WW-II, combat veteran father and Tenacity’s attempts to live up to his expectations. Attending college on an ROTC scholarship seemed to fit the bill until he fell for an attractive war protesting young lady. Trying to satisfy everyone’s demands, Tenacity comes up short on everything he strives for!

In TWSC, Tenacity reveals private thoughts, feelings, and vulnerabilities that most of us instinctively hide. The author does a wonderful job of blending humor and tragedy into a story that flows like a stream. In exposing the deep emotions of a boy growing up in the '50s and '60s, Tenacity tells the true story of a young man, and a generation, tasked with unrealistic expectations. Raised with the constant demand of “What are you going to contribute to society…?” the boomers found out right away that they were not going to be the doctors, lawyers, police and firemen that they dreamed of being. No, the first demand was to fight a long, divisive war, whether they wanted to or not. The boomers either went into the military or they went to Canada or even jail, but everyone had to do something that was precipitated by the war. TWSC’s story is one young man’s fascinating journey through this tumultuous period.
