Unbreakable: Readings That Inspire and Motivate by Carolyn D Vincent is a collection of inspiring texts devised to give us hope. Yes, all of us, whether we have been hurt, are suffering, or have had to overcome terrible trauma. The introduction and acknowledgments are extraordinarily moving and explain why Dr. Carolyn D Vincent decided to write this fantastic guide and self-help book. It is challenging to choose a genre for this opus, but it will help readers go through what they face or digest what they have encountered. It is essential to have faith and be positive to live a full life, and this work will enlighten anyone’s days.

The title of Unbreakable: Readings That Inspire and Motivate immediately attracted my attention. As I read Carolyn D Vincent’s description, I felt that this book was for me as a mum, teacher, and human being. We all (or almost all) have been through upsetting experiences, hardships; we all have had difficult decisions to make. It is essential to have numerous tools to share with students and kids to give them hope and faith in the future. As a teacher for almost twenty-five years, I have witnessed a lot of hopelessness, a lot of hurts, and many issues that youngsters do not know how to deal with. It is also our job to help them with that, and this remarkable book is a must-read for educators. I particularly enjoyed what the author says to her readers in the “Insights and Reflections'' sections, which follow each text. It is also vividly illustrated. One of my favorite texts is “This moment,” starting thus: “My journey has prepared me for this moment.” What an impactful message to share! Everything is about resilience, hope, confidence, and positivity, arch concepts we should all cultivate!
