Uncertain Love by Margaret Lynette Sharp is the story of a conflicted young woman as she faces the realities of love. Amanda enjoys her work as a secretary at a lawyer’s office but craves the weekend just like everyone else. She was looking forward to enjoying her weekend and relaxing a little bit. She had a meet-up with her best friend to look forward to and a dinner with her boyfriend’s family in the evening to obsess over. However, when a stranger walks up to her and shares a surprising secret with her, she is shaken to her core. Suddenly, she isn’t looking forward to having dinner with her boyfriend’s parents who are richer and classier than she ever will be. She is wracked with self-doubt, she thinks she isn’t good enough for Kevin and there isn’t anything that can make her think otherwise. What made her change her mind about her relationship?

It is surprising how we let our emotions affect our lives and how we perceive ourselves. Amanda’s story is a perfect example of this. She was a confident young woman, but one little thing changed everything for her. She lost her self-confidence because she thought she wasn’t good enough for a man who might not even be worth her affection and attention. Margaret Lynette Sharp made the narrative relatable and believable, thought-provoking, and at the same time, she made it entertaining. Uncertain Love is very easy to read, the sentences flowed really well and the overall feel of the story was very exciting. I enjoyed it a lot!
