When a new family moves into a house by a pond, they are excited about the wildlife that surrounds them. They learn about what lives in the pond and even take the time to bring food for the creatures and animals who live there. Unfortunately, the family eventually loses interest in the animals and the pond until a knock is heard on their front door. When someone in the family opens it, they notice a sneaky little creature zooming back toward its home. After that, the family makes sure to visit the pond and bring food for their friends out there. Who's Knocking At My Door? by Terrie Stadler and Kimberly Henderson is a children’s story full of cute illustrations.

I thought Who's Knocking At My Door? was a cute book. The illustrations are great and added an extra layer to a fun children’s story. It had a good plot that I think also has some educational value, sharing information about wildlife that could be hiding in our backyards. Overall, I would recommend Who's Knocking At My Door? by Terrie Stadler and Kimberly Henderson to families with young children who are progressing in their reading skills and might be looking for a bit of a challenge. This book does consist of complete sentences and a few small paragraphs on each page, so it’s definitely meant for children who already have a reading foundation.
