The Hiccups are getting ready for the 125th World Waterslide Championship, which has been voted as the coolest sport in the universe by millions of Hiccups for eleven straight years. Among the many competitors are Derf and the super sliding twin sisters Enna and Anne. Derf has won the Waterslide Championship three times in a row. He is planning on winning this year’s competition to set a Championship record since no Hiccup has ever won the Championship four times in a row. Enna and Anne − who have taken second place three times in a row in the Championships − are also planning on winning their first Championship title in this competition. However, something happens to Derf just as the competition starts, forcing the twin sisters to make a tough choice. What happens to Derf? Who wins the Championship title? Find out in Dave W. Balls’ Wild Waterslide Race.

Dave W. Ball’s Wild Waterslide Race is just what you should be looking for if you love sports and children’s picture books. Dave loads an intriguing plot with unusual twists and exciting characters. He enhances vivid depictions with colorful imagery, making the reading experience enthralling and fun. He develops his characters, making some of them as irresistibly adorable as he makes some loathsome. I could not help but dislike the mean Enna. Anne on the other hand stole my heart. She is smart and has a big heart. Dave’s short read will inculcate important values in your kid, virtues such as honesty, integrity, sincerity, kindness, and patience among many more. I loved how he elaborates on and encourages the aspect of “putting yourself in someone else’s shoes” when solving problems. This story will change your kid’s perspective on many things positively.

Dave W. Ball's Wild Waterslide Race is both entertaining and exciting. Adults might have difficulty imagining a mile-high waterslide, but children will have no trouble with it. Hiccups have an annual waterslide competition. Derf has won the championship in each of the past three years. Will he win again, or will one of his friends - Anne or Enna - win? The lessons this fun book teaches will stay with children for the rest of their lives. Teaching children how to be good sportsmen and women is an essential task for parents. Winning is not everything, but doing the right thing is vital. Help your child assimilate the lessons learned in this book so they will be better citizens when they grow up.

One of the enjoyable facts about a child’s world is that they have not learned that some tasks are impossible. Engineers sometimes take a problem to a high school class to find a solution because secondary students have not yet discovered that certain things cannot be achieved. Your child will have no problem imagining the Hiccups sliding down a mile-high waterslide. Is it right to risk your win to help your competition? Is it wise to warm up before strenuous exercise? Is it possible to be friends with your competitors? For answers to these questions and many others, read Wild Waterslide Race by Dave W. Ball. The illustrations are colorful and add humor to the text. Be sure to read with your child and discuss good sportsmanship. Ask your child what they would do in each situation. Make reading fun and a lifelong habit for your child.

Wild Waterslide Race by Dave W. Ball is the fifth book in the fun and exciting Hiccups collection of storybooks. This time, we’re off to the most challenging waterslide as we join Derf and twins Enna and Anne as they take part in the World Watersliding Championship. The waterslide course has fifty ladders side by side, reaching into the clouds. There are 5,280 steps on each ladder. The top of the ladders is one mile above the ground. The slides are 3.69 miles long. They are made from super-strong, crystal-clear plastic. These slides are super duper epic! The Hiccups love to waterslide, and as they are about to test their endurance, reflexes, and acrobatic skills, they will also discover what is more important than winning.

Wild Waterslide Race is almost too perfect to be a simple adventure storybook. Dave W. Ball uses the adventurous allure of waterslides as leverage to propel his story into something with a relevant message. Sporting competitions have always fostered a mindset of excellence in which the value of participants is measured by how well they perform. Of course, the Hiccups in this little tale do their best to win, but on top of that is something deeper that matters more to them, and that’s for readers to find out. The solid full-page illustrations accentuate the fun and a little drama as these emphasize the depth of the story and the characters. It’s a surprisingly amusing storybook with a nice sweetness in the mix against the backdrop of a stomach-churning waterslide. Highly recommended.

Wild Waterslide Race by Dave W. Ball is a hilarious picture book for young children. It's that time of year again when Hiccups from all over gather to watch and take part in the annual water sliding championship. Hiccup sisters Enna and Anne prepare to compete, full of hope that they will beat the three-time champion Derf. But Derf is raring to go, as he is every year, and is not planning to lose. The race begins and it's neck-and-neck between the three, but something happens to Derf, potentially preventing him from winning for the fourth time in a row. He turns to the sisters for help. Enna and Anne are faced with a difficult decision - will they help their fellow contestant and risk another loss? Or will they take the win and leave Derf behind?

Wild Waterslide Race was an incredibly amusing book to read. It is jam-packed with adventures that will surely satisfy the young reader's need for excitement. The story is enticing and the characters are hilarious. The illustrations by the talented Design Pickle are professional and they have done a great job at bringing to life the characters Dave W. Ball has created. If you have a child who loves adventure and thrills, then this book will be their new favorite by far! I can't wait to see more antics from the Hiccups in the future. Congrats on the book, Dave and Design Pickle; keep up the good work!

Wild Waterslide Race is the fifth book in a colorful series by Dave W. Ball. The Hiccups have a watersliding championship. They have been training hard as the race takes much stamina, precision, and, most importantly, fun. Derf has won the last three years, but Anne and Enna have their eyes set on the finish line this year. When an unforeseen hiccup occurs, and Anne and Enna must make an important decision, will it cost them the race? What will you do if faced with the same opportunity?

Wild Waterslide Race by Dave W. Ball is a vibrantly colored children’s book that teaches children the importance of preparing and practicing for competitions. It also teaches children about good sportsmanship and that competition need not come between friends. Derf, Anne, and Enna are friends who respect each other and also train and have fun together. Through their story, children are taught that winning is not the most important aspect of competition. Fellow competitors must be respected while having fun when competing in the sport you love is highlighted.

The colorful illustrations will keep the attention of even the youngest of readers, and there is much detail that will make the illustrations interesting for older readers to explore. As the book is written in short sentences but with advanced vocabulary, children will learn the right terminology used when we speak about sports, such as respect, competition, etc. I would recommend this book to readers of all ages. As a brightly illustrated book with a fun story, it will find fans worldwide.
