Striving for success is something that everyone does from the time they are old enough to understand what ‘winning’ means. Whether you’re an average five-year-old hoping to win the pee-wee soccer game or you’re a 40-year-old genius hoping to win a Nobel Prize, everyone wants to win. Unfortunately, most people want to take the easy way out and that’s not what this book is about. This book will show you how you really can succeed in achieving your dreams; how you can take yourself from wherever you are right now and turn yourself around to accomplish whatever it is that you want in life. It takes hard work but, according to Winning by One, it’s possible; no matter what you’re starting with and where you want to go.

Winning by One by Jason Tate is an excellent motivational book. This is a man who has definitely achieved a lot and just looking at his early life (going from a T-Ball player to playing in college), you can see that the motivation he used really worked for him. As I read through this book, I thought that the things he was saying really weren’t that difficult to do. They are just things that most people don’t do. That’s why it’s going to take hard work to accomplish, not because the tips are difficult, but because most people (myself included) usually just want to take the easy way out. With this book, I see how I can make it much easier on myself by just pushing a little harder and working on my skills.
