Author Biography

Miller Thomas is an independent multi-genre author of fantasy, mystery, and thrillers. He does his best to balance a full-time job, managing a business, crafting compelling stories, and raising two sweet and crazy kids under the age of 4, with the invaluable assistance of his amazing wife.
Since early adolescence, he has harbored a fascination with the paranormal, especially vampires. The idea of a vampire detective, using supernatural abilities to bring murderers to justice, played at the corners of his mind. At last, he found the courage to put words to paper and imagination into form. Though some of the original thoughts remain, the story and characters which emerged from his feverish clacking on the keyboard has expanded beyond anything he could've anticipated. The first in the Wolf Hunter Inquisition series, The Freeing of Chiropteran, was the result. He hopes you enjoy this first installment and anticipates the release of the next chapter in the Wolf Hunter Inquisition saga soon.

Wolf Hunter Inquisition: The Freeing of Chiropteran by Miller Thomas is a hugely entertaining story for fans of the paranormal. Danny Roberts is a detective in the real human world who wakes up in an unfamiliar world to discover that he is in thrall to a vampire — meaning he will be under her total control, her obedient slave. She is called the Mistress and a member of the secret society known as the Shepherds. She keeps humans safe from the wolves, maintaining the ancient balance of peace. But there is intrigue in the dark world and forces of darkness. A kidnapping escalates the conflict, heralding the resurrection of Kalazara, a powerful spirit that needs a host. Can Danny untangle himself from the cords that already bind him to this world of darkness and what will be the Mistress’s fate?

Miller Thomas crafts an enthralling story that melds urban fantasy and the paranormal to offer an unforgettable reading experience. The story is told from the perspective of Danny, a man who gets entangled in the problems of this new world with a powerful threat looming over it. The characters are well-written, and while the author explores the relationship between Danny and the Mistress skillfully, other characters like Horus and Sophia are expertly written as well. The world of Wolf Hunter Inquisition: The Freeing of Chiropteran is fast-moving and filled with conflict — yet it is absolutely real. The incredibly good writing and the enthralling first-person narrative voice combine with the author’s skillful creation of memorable characters to complete an enjoyable reading experience. It is an excellent book with plenty of twists that kept me racing through the pages.
