Author Biography

My name is Trisha (aka T.L. Montgomery). I currently live in the beautiful state of Oregon, where many of my photographs were taken. I am a photographer, an intuitive life coach, and a small business owner.
I never thought about writing a book, but here I am! This is proof that sometimes life takes you to places you never thought you would go and the best thing to do is to sit back and enjoy the ride. I am so happy I did!

My book “Words of Life: Messages for a Path to Inner Peace” was forged from my studies, deep meditation, and my connection to the unseen world. I want others to understand that by honoring and expressing their true self, they too will find their path to inner peace. I hope that this book brings comfort and healing to others. I hope it sparks conversations about what it means to be yourself. Lastly, I hope it will make you think about your own life and how you are choosing to express your truth.

Words of Life: Messages for a Path to Inner Peace is a nonfiction collection of inspirational essays written by T.L. Montgomery. The author is an intuitive life coach as well as a photographer, whose photographs precede each of the essays contained within her book. In her preface, she dedicates her work to the seekers, to those who are looking for enlightenment, and she shows through her essays how the answers sought are often found within ourselves. Montgomery’s photographs are dramatic, bold and brimming with the magic of the natural world. She offers brightly colored macro images of blooms, dark, brooding seaside scenes and marvelous images of sea meeting land. Her essays are meditations, filled with warmth and wisdom; each one deserving some quiet time for thought and reflection.

T.L. Montgomery’s Words of Life: Messages for a Path to Inner Peace is a uniquely lovely motivational work that had me hanging on each word as I read. I love her nature photography and the way each selection works so well to set the mood of the accompanying essay. Her essay on Death was especially enlightening, giving the reader an entirely fresh and original take on what is for most people a fearsome mystery. Likewise, her essay on Depression offers a new way to appreciate what that state has to offer. Montgomery’s thoughts and feelings are expressed in an intuitive and informal way that makes it feel as though you’ve got your own life coach sitting there and personally working with you. I learned and experienced quite a bit reading this book, enjoying the photography and allowing the wisdom to sink in as I read. Words of Life: Messages for a Path to Inner Peace is most highly recommended.

Words of Life: Messages for a Path to Inner Peace by T.L. Montgomery is a non-fiction inspirational book. Words of Life is about how to live life peacefully and with grace under any circumstances. As such, this is a fairly short book and is broken down into single-page chapters on words such as Abundance, Acceptance, Attune, Benefit, Death, Depression, Ego, Existence, Forgiveness, Grief, Love, Harmony, Self, Silence, Soul, Vision, Wisdom, and a few others. Each of these short chapters contains a paragraph or two about what these words mean, how they can be applied to everyday life, and how to live and embrace life as a result. Each of the words also contains a corresponding image to go with it throughout the book.

The idea behind Words of Life: Messages for a Path to Inner Peace by T.L. Montgomery is an excellent one, and reading and contemplating the meanings of such words is certainly uplifting and liberating. The writing style is simple, short, and effective. The meanings and descriptions of each word mentioned in the book are brief and are meant to serve as pieces of advice or simply something to reflect on and think over. I liked the point of view expressed regarding some of the words in particular, such as the section on Acceptance, Silence, and Ego, to name a few. Overall, I liked the basic theme of the book and I think that this can be an enjoyable and handy guide for anyone looking for an uplifting pick-me-up in their day to day life.

Words of Life: Messages for a Path to Inner Peace by T.L. Montgomery is a wonderful offering that allows readers to give significance to life by meditating on some of the powerful words that can help them shift perspective and look at life from a healthy position. Each word is briefly explained with a short message of inspiration indicating a path the reader can take to make it a reality in their life. Words like abundance, attune, acceptance, angel, being, blessed, benefit, and many others are given new and fresh insights in this book. Each word is accompanied by a relevant image that helps the reader think even more about what they have read and see how it relates to their personal life.

This is not the kind of book to read in one sitting, even if the length is short and the writing crisp and accessible. It is one of those books that you read one chapter a day to allow its message to sink in and to determine how to make it a reality in your life. The writing is immensely beautiful and deep, with sudden bursts of insights and wisdom noticeable in each offering. For instance, when talking about acceptance, the author says: “The same way that a bee accepts that there will be pollen in the flowers, it is good to accept that life will take you where you need to go. It may not always be easy, and it may not always be clear, but it is as it is.” Words of Life: Messages for a Path to Inner Peace will help anyone discover hidden treasures in words and understand that these words can take them to beautiful places. Very inspirational and delightful.
