Author Biography

British author Toni Mackenzie hung up her air stewardess hat many years ago, married a pilot and was happily cruising along when her plane unexpectedly descended into a crash landing. After many challenging life experiences and lessons, she gradually became stronger and wiser, eventually learning to fly again, this time higher than ever before...

As a self-empowerment coach, hypnotherapist and psychotherapist, Toni now spends much of her time sharing the lessons that she has learned by speaking, writing and helping other people to create inner peace, freedom and happiness for themselves.

The rest of the time she enjoys being mum to her grown-up son and daughter, and her two beautiful long-haired cats, as well as reading, practising yoga and qi-gong and dining out with friends in the many nearby restaurants of the Cheshire and Manchester area in the UK where she currently lives.

Your Flight to Happiness: A 7-Step Journey to Emotional Freedom by Toni Mackenzie is an engaging read that deals with a relevant topic; that of being happy. Everyone is searching for happiness without realizing that it is inside us, waiting to be discovered and released. The author’s personal experiences and the lessons she has shared in the book are both powerful and practical, and changed her from being a sad and empty person to one filled with contentment and happiness. The seven steps shared will take readers on a short-haul flight to freedom and happiness.

I found the book uplifting, simple, and easily applicable in our daily lives to make positive changes. The exercises are also easy to practice and will enable readers to look at things with a different perspective and keep a check on negative emotions when they creep in. The idea of having provided spaces to jot down thoughts is a good one as it will make readers reflect on their thinking and behavior and how it affects them. The author’s experiences, the quotes she has shared, and the colorful illustrations make this book an entertaining one. It’s a book worth having in one’s personal collection as the techniques and suggestions can be incorporated into one’s life to make changes and improvements that will leave them fulfilled and empowered. It will also help readers to look into themselves and see what they can do to draw happiness into their lives.
