Zany Can Do Anything, a children's picture book by Nichole Hansen and Tevin Hansen, is about a character named Zany; not a typical character, but a unicorn. Zany is full of life. Zany likes challenges. Zany likes everything from the perfect outfit to his to-do lists and to his breakfast. He likes to dream. He likes to dance. He knows the importance of a library card. In closing, the character Zany wants a child reader to know that things are not always easy. So, do your best. He teaches youngsters to 'be yourself and do whatever you set your mind to.' Zany the unicorn lives life to the fullest.

Zany Can Do Anything by Nichole Hansen and Tevin Hansen is so educational. Good values are taught all throughout this book, from having a good breakfast to dreaming to libraries. The pace is perfect, not rushing from one valuable lesson to another, such as to always work hard, to do your best and to go after your dreams. The action is cute as Zany the unicorn does the teaching. Zany can capture a child’s imagination, especially if the child is in preschool or kindergarten. Zany is very believable. If one did not know any better, one might think he could be a human being doing the teaching. The theme is not to take life for granted and to live life to the fullest. Most adults know this, but even kids need to be taught not to take life for granted. The authors are excellent at teaching kids to go after their dreams through Zany. I recommend this book for any parent or teacher to read aloud to youngsters.
