Aisha the Navigator: Trains a Leader #1 by Amir Makin is a heartwarming tale about an intelligent, confident young girl named Aisha. One of Aisha's talents is the ability to travel through time. While selling her handmade jewelry in the park, Aisha meets another young girl named Emily. The girl has faced rejection and is feeling unsure of herself. Aided by her skill of time travel, Aisha takes the girl on a trip through time. Aisha shows her what girls are capable of, in an effort to teach her how to find her own self-confidence. Aisha the Navigator is a tale about realizing your own potential and believing in your self worth.

Aisha the Navigator: Trains a Leader #1 by Amir Makin is a very well thought out and well written story geared to a younger audience. Aisha the Navigator sends a powerful and positive message about believing in yourself, which young children will easily understand. Children of all ages can relate to the idea of feeling self-conscious and unsure of oneself. Parents will thoroughly enjoy reading this tale and discussing its powerful lessons with their children. I believe that Aisha the Navigator can be a valuable teaching tool throughout a child's developmental years. Aisha the Navigator has beautiful illustrations in vivid colors that will really appeal to young children. The story is brief enough to maintain the short attention span of younger readers while descriptive enough to interest the adults who may be reading it to the younger generation.
