Always Mr. Wrong by Joanne Rawson tells a story of teenage crushes revisited. Clare is pushing on for 37 and is a divorcee. She’s pulled through though and now feels better than she has in a long while. It’s time to get out and start socializing again. Her first social night out turns into a disaster when Dr Guy Foreman walks in – she had a crush on him when she was 16 and she still has one now. Guy is an orthodontist who just never found the woman he wanted to settle down with. Until now. Oddly, he is in the process of taking over an orthodontic practice from Clare’s dad and it looks as though Clare is pushing for a takeover bid on his heart. What will the outcome be? Is the age difference too much or will the fact that she had a crush on him all those years ago put her off now?

Joanne Rawson has written another winner in Always Mr. Wrong. It’s a heartwarming romantic story that, once again, I couldn’t put down. It had a real injection of reality and humor in it and perfectly sums up the harsh reality of growing up and facing down your life. With a touch of drama, the quintessential mature heroine, and even more mature drop-dead gorgeous hero, Ms. Rawson has a winning formula on her hands in the shape of a neatly packaged short story. Wonderful read that gave me a real lift to the spirits and heart. I wish there were more like her.
