What a nice read! That’s what I thought as I put down Ambrosia by the Sea by author Traci Hall. Following the story of newly widowed Celia Langford after she realizes the depths of her husband Preston’s betrayals, from affairs to financial ruin, Celia needs nothing more than to start her life completely anew. She moves to a seaside village and starts a café, hoping that the healing powers of both the sea and cooking, one of her great loves, will mend her broken heart. When Dax Smith, a gentleman who owns a dive shop and a person healing his own past hurts, enters her life, she isn’t looking for anything more than a friend. When the stresses in both of their lives get to be too much, they find solace in each other’s arms. But will they allow their pasts to fall away so that they can truly be with each other, or will they retreat into their hurt and refuse to let love in?

Ambrosia by the Sea was a very enjoyable read. Well written and easy to follow, this book is the perfect beach read, even taking place in a beach-like setting. Author Traci Hall does an excellent job of creating relatable, likable characters that the reader will truly hope the best for. Ambrosia by the Sea is a book that would be enjoyed by any reader who loves a sweet, romantic read and is looking for a book of a relatively shorter length that can easily be read in one sitting. I enthusiastically recommend Ambrosia by the Sea by Traci Hall, and hope that she’s hard at work on her next novel!
