Anita, the nanny of the children of Molly and Mitch, decides to hunt for a four-leaf clover. She completes her search but finds more than what she expected: a man in a tuxedo lying in a ditch. Before she has a chance to do anything, shots ring out and she falls with the man, both dead within seconds. Those two bodies in a ditch begin a mystery that involves all the folks at Allen Real Estate. Although devastated with Anita’s death, Molly and Mitch are simply overwhelmed by the resulting childcare problem. To ease their problem they hire a very strange old lady with a hidden agenda of her own. Just who really is this woman who calls herself Heather Kingham? Along with medical fraud, there is possible witness protection, some lost dogs, and even a black bear, all major pieces of this mystery. In the midst of all the chaos, as more bodies pile up and folks go missing, Lucky the dog disappears. Can things ever get back to normal?

Since I had not read any of the other installments of the 'Accidental Mystery Series' I assumed "And So it Goes" to be in the cozy mystery style. In a sense it is but it is actually more. With a wealth of characters, plots and subplots, it became to me more of a mystery adventure, albeit in the cozy mystery genre. Occasionally I became a tad confused about who was married to whom and whose kids belonged to whom. But, that wasn’t a major problem. I liked the story with its easy flowing style, good plots and just enough mystery to keep me reading. Well done.
