In Anna Bright Is Hiding Something by Susie Orman Schnall, Anna Bright, the smart and well-known creator of BrightLife and a biosensor pioneer, is the epitome of achievement, and she is everything Jamie has ever dreamed of being. After an interview at Vanity Fair, Jamie saved Anna from embarrassment, and in return, Anna offered to interview Jamie during her flight back to Palo Alto. With the announcement of the IPO, Anna and BrightLife were now engaging in fraudulent activities by misleading the board members of her company and the investors. When Jamie learns about Anna’s misconduct, she does everything in her power to obtain information to expose Anna and make a name for herself as a journalist. Once Anna learns of Jamie's plans, she will do everything to stop her, and contacts an old friend of hers.

Anna Bright is Hiding Something by Susie Orman Schnall is a novel about contemporary female ambition and the extremes women will go to establish their own identities. It was a page-turner that had me on the edge of my seat. I was hooked from the start until the end and could not put it down. All the twists and turns had me guessing, and I never knew what would happen next. The main characters are two strong women with ambition who give everything to get ahead and prove themselves. Both women's characters were interesting, and I was curious to see where they would end up. The novel is excellently written, well-researched and so much more than I expected.
