Behind The Wall by Jacqueline Marie Wallace follows Tony Green's career path in the music industry, from being a bassist for The Dramatics at 17 to collaborating with Snoop and Dre in California's hip-hop scene and creating his record label. Born in Detroit in 1956, Tony Green's love for the guitar helped him get a spot as a bassist for The Dramatics by 17. An older, married Tony moved to California, where he enjoyed a great music career while involved with Death Row Records. Unfortunately, it crashed as gangsters threatened his life, and he had to flee the state. Though he faced various other ups and downs in the music business, his love for music kept him returning to it and building an excellent reputation among prominent musicians and music lovers.

Jacqueline Marie Wallace's smooth, flowy writing complements Tony's grand, intriguing story. I grew up listening to West Coast hip-hop musicians like Dre and Snoop, and reading about Tony's communication with them was quite exciting. Behind The Wall is narrated mainly from a third-person perspective but also includes Tony's words in quotes. I looked forward to these quotes, which helped me better connect with the protagonist. Behind The Wall includes profound advice about dreams and passion that will benefit all readers, especially aspiring musicians. I learned that contributors are not always credited for their efforts, and I truly hope this changes. Tony's story is a beautifully written, inspiring, and enlightening gem that all musicians and fans will love.

I couldn't put it down!!! It helped me remember all the talent that Detroit had and and still does. This story about T Green's life was definitely over due. Jackie Wallce told the story beautifully it had me wanting to go back in time and somehow becoming his groupie
