Can't Go Back by Marie Meyer is a contemporary romance that follows the same story line as Across the Distance by Marie Meyer, but is from the hero Griffin's point of view instead of Jillian, the heroine. In Across the Distance, we learned what Jillian felt and thought. Now the reader can learn how Griffin feels about his best friend and one true love leaving him to go away to college. Griffin knows why Jillian has to leave. Her college scholarship is the best thing that ever happened to her, and he doesn't expect her to stay and follow his band around like a love obsessed groupie. He knows she would only get hit on by promoters and drunk guys hanging out at the bar, because Jillian is that beautiful, even if she doesn't realize it. And Griffin knows this would make him crazy with jealousy. College is the best thing for her. But that doesn't mean it hurts any less to have her gone.

If you read Across the Distance and wondered what Griffin's thoughts were on the whole story, here is your chance to learn once and for all! Can't Go Back follows the same time line and repeats a story many readers already know, but adds a new layer of interest as Griffin shares his thoughts and points of view on a story that many will find similar. But it does shed some interesting light on a good story and many readers will find the new details interesting and satisfying.
