A Senior Manager in IT Service field, Liz uses her free time to teach youngsters about faith to prepare them for the outside world. While music, poetry and writing have always been part of her life, her entry into the publishing world happened with her poetry via the book - The Changing Mask in 2021.

Cayden's Adventures with Faith by Elizabeth Lizu enlightens young readers about a life of faith. Cayden has always dreamed of being on the school’s basketball team. Finally, the opportunity to try out for the team arrives. Cayden is excited, yet a bit nervous. Through each round of elimination, Cayden prays, reciting to himself, “I must have faith.” Cayden’s prayers are answered, and he makes the team. However, this is only the beginning of his journey of faith. Cayden is challenged, learning lessons in humility, the consequences of jealousy, and the importance of forgiveness. Through his adventures in faith, Cayden begins to realize that God has a plan and a purpose for us. We all have a future and a hope. All we need to do is to pursue life with faith.
Elizabeth Lizu pens an encouraging story of faith in Cayden's Adventures with Faith. Her writing style is full of descriptive language, allowing the text to flow, and drawing the young reader into the story. The illustrations are vivid and imaginative, bringing the story to life. The plot is driven by strong spiritual influences, presenting valuable and relatable lessons. The young protagonist faces conflict which aids his character development. He learns about humility, jealousy, fear, and doubt and how each one of these emotional dilemmas can grow his faith. The adults in his life, namely his parents and teacher, are there to guide him through each challenge. The author begins each chapter with a scripture, setting the tone for what is about to happen. She also includes a list of affirmations and activities at the end of the book to reinforce the lessons. This book is a positive and inspiring influence for young readers in today’s world.
