Clumsy Cat by Tiffany R. Elder is a fun little story of a cat who is very clumsy. But he is a good cat and he likes to help people. Clumsy Cat is out for a day of fun in the park on his roller blades when an old lady approaches him to take her six-foot-tall cake and look after it until she gets back. He reluctantly takes it and is on his way when a monkey gives Clumsy Cat his ball to look after until he comes back. Now the clumsy cat rolls on very carefully, but a cow comes up to him and asks him to look after his bell. The poor clumsy cat on his roller blades sways left and right. What will he do? Can he keep them safe before the Lady, the Monkey and the Cow come back?
This is definitely an amazing book to share with little kids. Trust me, I tried. I sat down last night and read this book with my niece first and then my nephew and they both loved it. The illustrations were so good. Michael Monochello is a wonderful artist. Tiffany R. Elder wrote a really cool, rhythmic verse that makes the story interesting and fun to read. My nephew loved to make a funny voice for the monkey and I made a great grandma voice, if I do say so myself. A well-illustrated book with fun verse that is undoubtedly entertaining for little kids. All in all, this is a wonderful book to share with your little ones because they will love it.
