SUSANNE MEYER-FITZSIMMONS has been searching for answers to life's most fundamental questions since her teen years. She is an author, blogger, gentle activist, holistic adventurer, spiritual sojourner, public speaker, and cultural critic, who lives in a net-zero house in the beautiful Hudson Valley with her loving family and two cats. She grew up in Germany, France, and Belgium, and has a B.A. in Cultural and Religious Studies as well as an M.A. in Liberal Studies. Deep Living: Healing Yourself to Heal the Planet by Susanne Meyer-Fitzsimmons is a thought-provoking book in which the author gives suggestions and practical advice on how to improve the quality of our life from the point of view of personal health, planetary health and sustainability, and community health and well-being. All the tips and suggestions are easy, simple, and will help us bring transformation to our world. The author not only discusses the philosophy of our cultural choices that have led to the ongoing environmental crisis, but also speaks about how to reexamine our values and see how they can be used to make positive changes in our daily lives. The possible holistic visions for five everyday aspects of life are helpful to interact with nature in cooperative and co-creative ways.

The book is profound and it is about modeling what a holistic and fulfilling life might look like, and helps us create it for ourselves. The book encourages readers to work in tandem with nature so that they are content and peaceful with their lives.
