Destiny's Designs by Regina Andrews is a hope-filled Christian contemporary story that follows renowned interior designer, Lisa Machon as she learns to become vulnerable and love again. Tremendous tragedy has left Lisa in need of control of everything around her. She has experienced admirable career growth and the opportunity to work for Countess Lamont promises to expand her work even further. Lisa, however, finds herself drawing closer to the family, and soon the professional line she keenly adheres to starts to blur. When the Countess’s priceless vase is broken, Lisa and her son, Neil, promise to find her a replacement. Their search begins and it takes them to Portugal, Italy, and France, a journey that forces Lisa to face her fears.

I liked that the background heightens the tension in the work. Besides Neil and Lisa’s search for the vase, Neil is also concerned with the growing brutal activities of a union that plans to take over the family’s shipping business. Supporting characters play significant roles in the plot and they have exciting stories. Carrie, Lisa’s assistant, has her own love story while Bliss, Neil’s stunning sister who is a top fashion model, struggles to move forward from a devastating divorce. The main characters are also well developed. Lisa is loyal, committed to her work, having grown her brand despite the painful losses she has encountered. Destiny's Designs by Regina Andrews is a beautiful romance story that tackles relatable themes of love, loss, hope, and family. It contains captivating sub-plots and an enthralling main story.
