Empathy helps us connect more deeply with others so we can improve our interpersonal relationships. This is also the correct way to gain respect and convey generosity. Children need to learn about empathy so that they can act objectively in new situations. When children can put themselves in the shoes of their friends, they will be able to understand other points of view and will be able to react without prejudice. Empathy means being able to understand the feelings of others. Empathy Like an Elephant: Real Animal Photo Book about Warmth and Compassion for Kids is written so that little ones can understand how wonderful it is to act in this way. Sonny Swinhart and Sandy Swinhart explain both empathy and other characteristics of elephants, with charming phrases and photographs.

This topic is very important to me because the basis of social interaction is empathy. Children will be able to make friends more easily if they understand and use this idea, and they will want to help and share with others. I enjoyed Empathy Like an Elephant. The sentences are short and clear. The tips are good for children, and they can readily understand them. The photographs of the elephants are interesting and these animals are seen from different angles. There are some images where you can see how they coexist. For example, you see the way elephants guide or accompany their young. The overall message of the book is very positive and I liked how Sonny Swinhart and Sandy Swinhart explained all the basics that a child should learn about showing empathy.
