Author Biography

As a leadership development consultant, career coach, writer, teacher and youth advocate, Peter has helped thousands of individuals from six continents to identify their career goals and then reach them. He has taught courses and workshops at Columbia University, Johns Hopkins University, MIT, Montclair State University, and New Mexico State University. He is a Career Management Fellow (CMF) through the Institute of Career Certification International. He has presented at over 400 conferences and public workshops.

His most recent book "Have a Positive Impact During Uncertain Times" is an Amazon#1 International Bestseller. It includes hundreds of links and exercises from his work that help individuals understand how to have a positive impact personally and professionally and effectively manage their careers. He has published two novels – “Dawn of Hope” and “Dawn of the Tobacco Wars” about a female teenage activist, Dawn Mortenson. Her story puts her at great risk while supporting Peter’s youth advocacy mission to lessen the instances of sexual assault and bullying on and use of tobacco products by young people. One billion individuals will die globally from tobacco related products and he will do everything possible to lessen the possibility that Big Tobacco will kill his grandsons.

Have a Positive Impact During Uncertain Times, by Peter Prichard, can be a life-changing addition to your career/self-help toolbox. Prichard has distilled vital information you can use in various areas of your life, from career to family relationships to community and the world beyond. It's like having a life coach in your pocket. The advice is practical, down-to-earth, and encourages change in healthy, positive ways. The message is that you are in control and you can make it happen. The author uses his life as a career counselor, youth advocate, and teacher--over 40 years of experience and expertise. If you want to make a difference in the world, but don't know where to start, or want to make a difference in your own life, but don't know how, this book was written for you.

Prichard pulls from his collected resources and delivers the cream of the crop when it comes to positive stories. He even invited readers to send their own stories of positive impact, via a link in the book, for possible publication in the future. In today's times of doubt and fear, this book can be a grounding force in someone's life. It isn't always easy to stay positive in dark times, but it is possible, and as this book shows, it's never too late to turn things around.
