Help! I Just Pulled My Kids Out of School: Guidance From 17 Years of Homeschooling by Nina Elena answers many of the most common questions that parents new to homeschooling may have. Each chapter builds on the one before, starting with the basics of homeschooling, what it is, how to get started, and then on to practical concerns, including curriculum and setting up your home. Woven throughout are examples from her own experience and those of other homeschool families. Nina also tackles the realities of homeschooling, including uncomfortable questions from family and friends to challenges with hard days. There is a list of recommended reading for Homeschool Parents included.

Help! I Just Pulled My Kids Out of School is like having a conversation with a trusted friend. Nina Elena writes with an authenticity that comes from her years of homeschooling. As a retired public library children's librarian, I know firsthand how often new homeschool parents are looking for a book like this. Nina provides information that will be helpful for all homeschool parents but will be especially relevant for those looking for a Christian curriculum. I think parents will appreciate that she doesn't hide the fact that they may be overwhelmed, have bad days, or make mistakes. Her ultimate message throughout is, despite the challenging days, the reasons they decided to homeschool their children make it all worthwhile. Parents will appreciate the suggestions for curriculum to investigate and the many examples of what a homeschool day and year might look like. Help! I Just Pulled My Kids Out of School is a valuable resource for those just starting the homeschool journey.
