I Would, But MY DAMN MIND Won't Let Me! by Jacqui Letran and Joseph Wolfgram is an insightful self-help book for teenagers to navigate complex emotions and experiences and become happier, more confident individuals. Letran and Wolfgram explain the working of the conscious and subconscious mind in an easy-to-understand way that makes sense of the chaos we experience, realizing that we are more in control of our minds, decisions, emotions, and thus our experiences and future. By presenting the logic of how the mind works, Letran and Wolfgram provide a strong foundation for developing methods to control your emotional experiences, providing the knowledge an individual needs to address deeply-held beliefs that may not be valid and may no longer be serving you.

The case studies consider the theories described at the beginning of the book. This is an exceptional resource for teenagers as they discover who they are and how they fit into the world.
