A family of eagles brought up Woodsboy, but as the family grows and builds new nests, Woodsboy discovers that he dislikes them. He's human. In the second book of Cindy Hennig and Manu Anand's Karsona, Princess of the Universe series: The Adventures of Woodsboy, readers follow another story of a loving princess caring for and rescuing unloved children on earth. In this story, she recruits Woodsboy to help in her mission, but first, she must teach him the importance of love and how accepting the love of our Divine Creator helps us grow and prosper and reach our full potential as loving beings who care about each other and Earth. It also introduces Woodsboy to chocolate, a key ingredient to good living and love in humanity, wouldn’t you agree?

Cindy Hennig and Manu Anand’s middle-grade chapter novel, Karsona, Princess of the Universe series: The Adventures of Woodsboy, is full of fantasy, adventure, and sound, wholesome Christian values. The story is told in simple language, divided into short chapters, and accompanied by pencil sketches to help move the story along. There is lots of dialogue, which allows for the plot development and characterization. This story has important messages about love, self-value, and caring for one another and the planet. Although it might be beneficial for young readers to read the first book before this one, some of the background is provided to help set the stage. Overall, a good read.
