Alyssa Milani's Labeled: Miss Popular follows the story of Paxton Chase and Grayson Beckett as they navigate the labels and expectations placed upon them at Solar High School. Paxton, the popular girl, is struggling with her grades and pairs with Grayson, the nerdy outcast, for tutoring. As they spend more time together, they develop a connection. However, their relationship struggles when they face warnings about their families' involvement in mysterious business deals. Despite the threats and rumors, Paxton and Grayson ignore them and continue their relationship. However, the story takes a dramatic turn when Paxton goes missing five months into their relationship.

Alyssa Milani describes the realistic actions of high school students. Solar High School ranks popularity in sports and money. Paxton’s affluent upbringing wasn't as positive outside of school. Her parents paid no attention to her. Grayson’s family often moved, and I understood why he did nothing that could cost him a scholarship. His family understood his independent personality and even treated Paxton like a family member. The attention to detail enhanced my immersion in the story and allowed me to imagine the events and emotions of the characters. The pacing of the story is also well-maintained, with subplots adding suspense and keeping me engaged beyond the high school romance. Every character was relatable, and their discussions were engaging. The author gave exceptional detail for every moment, from the first page to the shocking conclusion. Labeled: Miss Popular will appeal to romance fans who like stories that surpass society's expectations.
