Life Lessons for the Teenage Girl: Quotes, Inspiration and Advice for Women by Women by Kelly Tonelli is a useful guide for all those mothers who have a girl child. The book offers guidance, comfort and inspiration and also teaches the value of hard work, perseverance and determination. The book reaches out to teenagers in a big way as it covers every issue relevant to them. The insightful quotes coupled with the author's wisdom and advice make it a must-read for all teenagers, especially if they are struggling for advice.
It's an informative book with a lot of wonderful points and quotes by influential women. The book is not only helpful to teenagers, but also to parents of teenagers who are finding it difficult to understand them and connect with them in a positive way. I found the messages in the concluding chapter extremely useful and can be incorporated into daily life without any difficulty. It also helps in looking at life with a better and happier perspective.
The book is inspirational and also motivational. It is realistic, simple and relatable and that is what makes it an engaging read. The lessons shared by the author are good and steer readers on a trip where they are allowed to discover their self-esteem and how that plays a crucial role in developing healthy relationships at later stages of life.
