Emi and Jack were getting married in two days and everything was perfect. However, a certain person was hell bent on splitting them up. Emi was convinced Jack had betrayed her and when she went to confront him, her suspicions seemed to be confirmed. Fast forward two years and Emi is preparing to come face to face with Jack for the first time since that awful day. Her twin brother, Evan, was marrying Jack's sister, Hannah, so a no-show at the wedding was not an option. With the help of her best friend, Lucy, and her husband, Josh, could Emi put the past behind her? Could she face her demons and even find new romance with a mysterious stranger she meets in a bar?
Little Gray Dress by Aimee Brown is a classic story of love and heartbreak in this modern age. What a great read! Chick lit at its finest, this debut novel is a classy, fast-paced story all about Emi and Jack. Aimee Brown has created a girl that all of us can relate to. She loves her food, adores her friends, and is a loyal and true person who had her heart broken. Jack is a great guy who lost his girl. Little Gray Dress will have you on the edge of your seat with this “will they/won’t they” romance and if you aren’t moved to tears by the last chapter, then you must have a heart of stone. Well done, Aimee Brown. I am eagerly waiting the next book and secretly hoping we will hear a bit more about Liam!
