A mom and registered nurse, my inspiration as an author comes from my passion for reading and making up stories for my child. Early reading is essential to children's development and my objective is to encourage reading at an early age by making early learning fun for parents and their little ones, and to write engaging books children will love to look through, and eventually learn to read as they grow older.

Teaching your child the alphabet can be fun and enjoyable with Little Liam's Alphabet Book by Joan Grant. From an Ant to an Impala from Jacob Sheep to a Zebra, you will find twenty-six interesting animals you and your child will be talking about. Each page has a different alphabet, both adult and baby, both uppercase and lowercase. Not only will they learn the alphabet, but they will also find a fun fact about each adult and the name a little one is called.
There are the most beautiful and adorable illustrations on each page with vivid colors that will draw your little one to the pages of this book. Tabassum Hashmi is amazing and I love the animals she has created for Little Liam's Alphabet Book. The characters have the most adorable faces and the babies are precious. Ms. Hashmi captures the story in pictures in the most perfect way. Grant and Hashmi make an awesome team. I love this precious book. I will be purchasing Little Liam's Alphabet Book by Joan Grant for my grandaughter. I like that some of the animals Grant uses are not familiar ones, and I admit I've never heard of a few of them. I think it is very clever that author Joan Grant choose the collection of animals here to teach the alphabet to children. And she even taught me a thing or two about some unique animals. This fun book would be wonderful for all daycares around the country as well as preschools and kindergarten classes. And don't forget your own child's library.
