Molly and the Magic Suitcase: The Story of the Suitcase (Volume 7) by Chris Oler is a delightful storybook for kids that will take them on trips to different countries along with Molly, Michael and their Magic Suitcase. In this volume, readers see Molly and Michael questioning their grandparents to learn about the origin of the Magic Suitcase, and they are looking for answers. The story takes them back to their great-great-grandfather, Felix Clevenger. Readers get to know more about the history and culture of their Magic Suitcase in this volume.

The book is informative and educational, like all its previous volumes, and introduces young readers to the culture, people, clothes, food and music of the place. It reiterates the fact that there is unity in diversity. There is a bond in the sameness and also the differences. This book makes a good bedtime story book and can be used by parents and grandparents to read out to their kids and grandkids. It is also a good book for read aloud sessions in classrooms and school libraries. All the stories in this series teach something new to readers; a new concept, thought or idea that is useful to them.

Books that convey a message or have a concept are perfect for kids when they start reading. It is the easiest way to teach them about new things in life. The illustrations are bright, colorful and cheerful, and complement the author's thoughts with clarity and precision. The pictures give pace and movement to the story. A charming story book for kids that teaches them many new things about different places.
