Author Biography

BRADLIE K. ROBERTS loves her family more than anything in the world, enjoys spending time with friends, never misses an opportunity to laze around with a good book, and can’t get enough of decorating cookies and cupcakes for holidays and school events.

After years of telling friends her ideas for stories, she finally took the plunge with her debut novel, Murder at Magnolia Castle…and the response has been overwhelming! She is grateful for the love and support she’s received and can’t wait to share more stories in the near future.

Bradlie's books continue the tradition of intelligent women sleuths on television and in books like Jessica Fletcher (portrayed by the always amazing Angela Lansbury), Nancy Drew (my childhood was filled with mystery thanks to these books!), novels by Janet Evanovitch, and Agatha Christie's incomparable Miss Marple.

Murder, mystery, and a dose of comedy, Murder at Magnolia Castle brings you all this and more. Bradlie K. Roberts introduces readers to a diverse cast with unique personalities. I enjoyed reading this book because it was intense. The tension kept building until the final reveal. The truth made sense and perfectly lined up with the clues. The author does a great job of misleading the reader, a good attribute of a murder mystery. I was surprised yet satisfied with the answers. The story has so many twists and turns that it kept me on the edge of my seat, wondering, and analyzing the motives and traits of every character. The story is well-written and has a smooth flow and great descriptions. I highly recommend this title to all murder mystery lovers. This is a great book to add to your reading collection.

Murder at Magnolia Castle: Mother of All Murder Mysteries begins on a wedding day. Bradlie K. Roberts introduces readers to Val and Frankie, two sisters who are preparing to send their children down the aisle and off on their honeymoons. There’s a disagreement before the ceremony, but after the wedding, the wedding party and guests seem fine as they prepare for an escape room experience. The family has many closely guarded secrets, though, and they all tumble out over the night. Several of the guests learn that they are capable of murder before they see the sunrise. The author includes a useful map of the grounds, and the reference helps as the wedding party and guests circulate throughout the day.

Bradlie K. Roberts has written a story that hits all the marks! Fast-paced and eye-opening, the author knows exactly how to interweave the actions of the characters, creating an unbelievable plot. The reader will be left wondering if the mystery is part of the escape room or if there truly is a scandal. Roberts holds readers’ attention as each character reveals part of the plot, and almost everyone is a suspect. It’s hard to believe so much can happen over one night, but the course of many of the characters’ lives change because of their experiences in the escape room. Easily digestible, the book may be read in an afternoon as you won’t want to put it down. Murder at Magnolia Castle is a good book for mature readers who enjoy deep mysteries with a twist and aren’t averse to some blue humor.

Murder at Magnolia Castle is a murder mystery from the Mother of All Murder Mysteries series by Bradlie K. Roberts. The story follows a group of people at a wedding at Magnolia Castle. The bride and groom quarrel before the wedding, their friends reminisce about their past, and some family members do not get along, which are all typical wedding incidents. But when they decide to play an escape room game at the castle, old family secrets are revealed. The possible killers seem obvious when the victim is found dead, but there is more to this murder. Christine, the residential Sherlock Holmes, channels her favorite murder mystery author, Ms. Prissy Langenshire, to put the clues together to solve the crime.

Murder at Magnolia Castle is a story with lots of drama and chaos. When secrets started coming out and the murder happened, I was stunned, and at one point, I thought it was all a prank. Bradlie K. Roberts made sure the story was intriguing and unpredictable. I enjoyed it from start to finish. I did not want to miss anything because everything was crucial to solving the case. What made this book memorable is that they were people willing to be the killer. In most murder mysteries, everyone pleads their innocence and shifts the blame to others. I also loved the haunting mystery of Magnolia Castle. The author painted a vivid image of the place and provided drawings of the castle's interior and exterior. The dungeons, skeletons, swords, thrones, and secret tunnels added to the scary vibe of the castle. I loved reading this book and getting to know the characters. I recommend you read this book to enjoy its drama and mystery.
