In No More Lies, author Alan Brenham introduces us to Dani Mueller Scarsdale, a criminal defense attorney, and her husband Jason Scarsdale, an Austin PD detective. When Jason is going for a job interview in Washington DC, Dani thinks it would be a good idea to make a weekend of it, so they can do some sightseeing and spend some quality time together. On Monday morning, Jason leaves for the interview but doesn’t return. Finding the circumstances of his interview very strange, Dani sets out in search of him and files a missing person report with the police. Then a mutilated, unidentified body is found in a shallow grave. The detective on the case, Detective Floyd Hatchett, thinks that the dead body is Jason Scarsdale and that Dani has murdered him. Trying to prove her innocence, Dani follows a trail to England where other extremely strange things happen. Read this fast-moving book to discover what happens to Dani.

Alan Brenham writes in a way that gets you involved in all the experiences that Dani Mueller Scarsdale has to go through, how she works for the justice system but finds that very system working against her. Other characters are introduced, some trying to help her and others that are trying to incriminate her. Brenham introduces many twists and turns to keep you wondering how things will work out. An interesting plot that gives you an insight into the strange minds and thinking of its characters, which makes you wonder what you would do under the same circumstances. When Dani is accused of murder, the author highlights the extremes that she would be willing to go to in order to find her husband, and ultimately prove her innocence. The author makes these fictional characters into relatable people who have realistic experiences, which are very believable in the world in which we find ourselves.
