A group of humans is formulating a plan to bring about the demise of the galactic interlopers who have taken over earth in the riveting science fiction novel Nuclear by Wilson Freighter. After successfully acquiring two drones from the Octacions, extraterrestrials who have invaded earth, Dash, his family, and their companions are laying low at a farm. Following an unexpected skirmish, a group of American soldiers takes refuge at the farm with them. The two small groups join forces in an effort to thwart the Octacions' agenda of conquering the galaxy. Together, they hatch a plan where a few members of their group go on an intelligence mission and join the OC's military. Hoping to gather enough information to uncover their enemy's weakness, Dash and a small contingent leave the relative safety of the farm to join the ranks at a nearby military base. However, things don't go quite the way they expected when Dash and the majority of his group are sent out into space to prepare for an intergalactic invasion. How will this affect their scheme? Will Dash and his friends ever make it back to earth?

Nuclear by Wilson Freighter is the third installment of a thrilling science fiction alien series that rivals War of the Worlds. I was thoroughly dumbfounded by how genuinely and terrifyingly real the setting and plot were. Narrated by the protagonist Benjamin Dashwood, known as Dash, the gripping saga is a continuation of his family's fight for survival in a world overtaken by aliens. As their plight escalates, so does the excitement and intense drama of the plot. The fantastic story line held me captive from the first paragraph, despite the fact that I hadn't read the prequel or the previous books in the set. I am hooked on the series and can't wait for the next book to come out. Those who enjoy electrifying science fiction novels that contain extraterrestrial conflicts won't want to miss this spectacular book! However, to better understand the plot and the motivations of the characters in this novel, I recommend starting the series from the beginning. It is an epic saga with engaging characters; it is truly worth the time and effort.
