Determined to see Emira, Ranger rushes through the Three Bull Corridor and to the Determined Adventurer, but she is not there. Surprisingly, even her best friend Beth Anne doesn't know where she is, as she hasn't been seen since the break. What could have happened to her? During Game Con, Ranger meets Karmen, who offers to buy Fiddle for a lot of gold, but he refuses, claiming she is part of his team. They didn't know what Fiddle was or why she was worth that much. As the game proceeds, Ranger and his team are about to win when Jid interrupts the game, telling them to give up as they need to get out of there immediately. To find out more about the Fiddle and Faddle enigma and the pirates plaguing the galaxy, get a copy of Ranger Nader and The Unsolvable Riddle by Kam Karem.

Ranger Nader and The Unsolvable Riddle by Kam Karem is book two in the series but can easily be read as a stand-alone. With the gaming, the realistic dialogues, and the vivid descriptions of events and places, I was hooked from the first page to the last. The plot line flows seamlessly, leaving no room for confusion. Karem also utilized suspense to great effect, leaving one yearning for more. The characters are well-developed and relatable, and the fast-paced narration kept me intrigued and entertained. Readers will also appreciate the easy-to-understand language used by the author, which makes it accessible to all readers. I cannot wait to read the next book in the series.

Ranger Nader is back and ready to begin Two Bull Hull at the Solar Sails Academy together with his sister Milly and cousins Art and Kara Hayek. While working on upgrading their abilities, Ranger and The Guardian crew continue their regular classes. Fiddle, one of Ranger's adorable critters, joins the missing list and the only clue to her whereabouts may lie in Uncle Fred's mysterious riddle. However, Ranger's inability to control his temper and pride soon drives his crew away. Will he be able to bring Fiddle back and make amends with his friends?

If Harry Potter met The Guardians of the Galaxy, you would end up with something like Ranger Nader and the Unsolvable Riddle. This is the perfect sci-fi fantasy adventure series for teenagers and young adults. A sequel to Ranger Nader and the Sunstruck Phantom, this book brings new layers to the characters and explores the relationship between Ranger and his friends still further. Kam Karem has built a fascinating, fantastical world that will spark your imagination. The setting feels truly wondrous, and you find yourself marveling at the extraordinary wonders of the Solar Sails Academy. Ranger struggling with his flaws only makes him seem human and all the more relatable to the reader. I have immensely enjoyed both the books in this series, and I'm looking forward to reading the sequels.

Ranger Nader and The Unsolvable Riddle (Ranger Nader and The Guardian Chronicles Book 2) is a young adult science fiction and fantasy book by Kam Karem. It is the story of a young, ambitious, although a bit confused boy named Ranger Nader and his friends. They have always been a family and they work as a team, both in life and as a crew on a Guardian ship, where Ranger is the acting captain. However, due to hectic situations in which their friends are kidnapped, one of their crew members, an unidentified but cute creature named Fiddle goes missing, and the pressures in school, Ranger makes a decision that will result in the collapse of his team, him stealing the legendary six-bull ship, and the realization that the dangers lurking around every corner are more than real.

Kam Karem delightfully describes the main characters and their quirky, but loving relationships with a touch of humor and lots of fun moments which will leave the reader simply wanting more! I enjoyed Karem's skillful implementation of the Gilgamesh myth in the story, which served as a catalyst for all the dangers that Ranger and his team had to face. Fuelled by magic, wonderful and fun characters, riddles, tough choices, magical beings, equally magical axes, and epic adversaries, Ranger Nader and The Unsolvable Riddle will transport you to a world away from reality, but it will make you believe that everything the story has to offer is very real. It is truly a delightful read for every generation.

The story unfolds at a brisk pace ideal for its target YA audience to follow, keeping readers engaged as Ranger navigates through challenges and confronts adversaries. What makes this book especially compelling is its connection to real-world issues, particularly climate change and the preservation of ancient forests. Karem's inspiration from his family's legacy as Keepers of the Cedars of Lebanon adds a personal level of depth to the narrative that is truly unique, highlighting the importance of environmental stewardship and intensifying the sense of duty that Ranger has at his core. Overall, Ranger Nader and The Unsolvable Riddle is a superbly crafted magical adventure and a testament to the power of storytelling to convey important messages while entertaining readers with an engaging plot and well-developed characters. Ranger Nader and his team had come so close to winning the Beirut Bashers Game Con; a simulation tournament for young spacecraft pilots. That’s why they were almost devasted when they were asked to forfeit the game and lose the prize money. As Jid Joe, Ranger’s grandfather, claimed, the Mycenaean pirates had kidnapped some students from the Solar Sails Space Academy and were demanding millions of units in ransom. The Mycenaean pirates were King Gilgamesh’s minions, and it was rumored they were planning to bring back the evil exiled Gilgamesh. In a bid to save his schoolmates and the world from their imminent fate of doom, Ranger finds himself on a slippery path that involves solving riddles and discovering more about his abilities. Lovers of young adult fantasy and science fiction novels with a touch of action will love Kam Karem’s Ranger Nader and The Unsolvable Riddle. Featuring a fascinating cast, Karem weaves an intriguing plot in a tale of teenage drama, secrets, war, sacrifices, love, games, and so much more. The evocative depictions plunged me into a world of adventure, thrill, and suspense. It felt like I was right next to every character, helplessly watching the scenes unfold. Fans of Harry Potter will be hooked from cover to cover with this page-turner. Karem expertly conveys the cast’s complex traits and emotions, allowing me to connect with them. Although this is the second installment in Karem’s Ranger Nader and the Guardian Chronicles, Ranger Nader and The Unsolvable Riddle is a stand-alone book.

Ranger Nader and the Unsolvable Riddle by Kam Karem is the second book in the Ranger Nader and the Guardian Chronicles. Ranger has already been through quite an adventure and returns for another epic journey when he decides a six-bull ship will give him the answers he needs to solve a crime and uncover the truth behind a mystery. His status as captain comes with responsibilities with his crew expecting him to make all the decisions. But he soon learns that not every decision is a good one and sometimes he’ll have to do what’s hard to do what’s right. When students begin to go missing, he’ll have to face tough choices if he’s going to save them.

Ranger has grown since the first book with more responsibilities and a focus on the decisions to make as a captain. The story explores the consequences of each decision he makes and how these choices come back on him. The adventure is fun though it does contain an air of seriousness woven into Ranger’s coming-of-age journey. The plot is fast-paced, going through multiple weeks in quick succession, which keeps events happening rapidly. Suspense is effectively carried throughout with real stakes that keep you guessing through pirates and disappearances. One of the best parts of Karem’s world is the blend of adventure and quirkiness that creates a fantastical atmosphere that has only grown since book one.

Beneath the plot are prominent themes of leadership, friendship, and trust which can be seen in the various dynamics in Ranger’s life. Through other perspectives, Karem explores more of the world and uses these characters to add whimsy to the tone. The menagerie of misfits continues to grow and they are just as endearing as they were in book one, having evolved individually since some of them were introduced. Ranger Nader and the Unsolvable Riddle is a fun YA treat that blends charm, riddles, friendship, and science fiction to create a unique adventure that readers will enjoy.
