Dwain Lovett was a long-time business development professional in the health care field while living in Texas. Dwain left Texas and his career and moved to the idyllic Caribbean island of Montserrat with Ruthann, his beautiful wife, and Pax, his big Yellow Labrador Retriever. Soon after arriving they added an arrogant island cat named Jasmine. He enjoys being active in community activities and siestas in his hammock. Their daily, uneventful lives changed dramatically when Gertie made her unexpected arrival.
Marcia Mitchell was a senior executive at the Corporation for Public Broadcasting and retired as associate director of the American Film Institute. An award-winning writer, she has published five non-fiction books and recently turned to fiction with the Maggie Sachet mysteries, called the “new must-read series for mystery fans.” Martha is also the author of the comedy, What’s Up Pussycats? Like so many others, Marcia fell in love with amazing Gertie at the first cuddle. She divides her time between her homes in the Black Hills of South Dakota and the island of Montserrat.
