Chloe McIntyre had it all: a thriving ranch in Montana, a beautiful family, a loving partner, and twins on the way. Yet, something was missing. She cut off from her stunning top fashion designer mom, Brook. Chloe’s mother was never there for her while growing up. Brook prioritized work and success over the well-being of her child, tearing them apart. However, she promised to move into Chloe’s ranch for eight weeks to help with the new babies and repair their relationship. Unfortunately, it’s easier said than done. Their time together unearthed all the reasons they stayed apart. And then Chloe discovered her mom had ulterior motives for visiting her ranch. Can the mother and daughter move past their differences? Will Chloe ever forgive Brook? Find out what happens in Reunion by Linda Bradley.

Reunion by Linda Bradley is a fantastic story and the second book of the Montana Bred series. You can also read it as a standalone or a part of the series because it’s both independent and continuous. The story centers on the parent-child relationship, priority, abandonment issues, love, sacrifice, and traumas. I loved the depth, uniqueness, and authenticity of this novel. Linda’s writing style gave off a laid-back vibe, warmth, and southern drama in the summer. This novel felt like a classic soap opera. It also touched on some sensitive issues that could guide parents into having better relationships with their children. Sometimes, all a child needs are their parents, not luxury gifts or expensive holidays. If work takes precedence over your children, there are bound to be scars from distrust, disappointment, and loneliness. You may be accomplished but empty because you lost the gift of good people. It is also vital to set boundaries because you determine the treatment you receive from others. Reunion was a beautiful book!
