It is no wonder that most of us go through life too afraid to live the lives we want. From the moment a child begins school, they are groomed by the world around them, and by a society that demands they conform to a certain way of thinking and behaving. The media and society in general force an agenda that makes us feel unworthy and therefore unhappy on a daily basis. This book breaks down the reasons we live in a constant state of stress and gives you the tools to start living an authentic life. Discover how your mind can be your worst enemy and keep you in a toxic cycle of self-doubt, and therefore hold you back from fulfilling any of your goals and dreams. Learn how to become more in tune with your thought patterns and make them work in your favour and not to your detriment. Do not let anyone rob you of the chance to become who you truly are.

Stop Ruining Your Life: A Guide to Overcoming Self Destruction and Loving Your Life Again by Anthony Gucciardi is one of the best motivational and inspiring books I have read in a long time. It is absolutely filled to bursting with insightful techniques to help with past traumas, toxic relationships with friends and family, and low self-esteem. I loved the analogies used throughout, along with the inspirational quotes and true life cases. The section on energetic epicenter concerning how to train yourself to listen more to your gut instinct and not your mind was very helpful. These techniques will teach you how to switch your focus from negative thoughts to positive ones. If you want to achieve true self authenticity and build your confidence to achieve your goals without fear of failure or judgement, then this book ticks all the boxes.

Stop Ruining Your Life: A Guide to Overcoming Self Destruction and Loving Your Life Again is a nonfiction motivational self-help book written by Anthony Gucciardi, with Dr. George Thompson, MD. Gucciardi is an author, motivational speaker and self-styled social media influencer whose own rags to riches life story helped him to realize that all the success in the world does not necessarily equate to happiness. He helps readers deconstruct the concept of success and recognize the negative and often toxic pressure put on people to conform to societal standards that bring neither joy nor satisfaction. Simply being oneself has been overlooked in the rush to be something else -- but it’s doesn’t have to be like that. Gucciardi shows you how to reconnect with your inner child, and he explains how empathy, while often painful, is actually a gift you can share with the world. He teaches readers how to take back the power often given away through one’s relationships, and gives insights into determining what makes a relationship toxic and how to fix or jettison it.

Stop Ruining Your Life: A Guide to Overcoming Self Destruction and Loving Your Life Again banishes the elusive attractions of those goals that often bog down one’s existence, and shines a light on what people can actually do to fine tune their lives and get over past injuries and setbacks. Gucciardi’s message is clearly laid out and easily accessible, and the concluding notes made by Dr. George Thompson work quite well to help drive home the essential elements of each chapter. I especially appreciated his chapter on Forgiving Others, and found that he had original and useful ideas on the concept of forgiveness. His chapters on Ending the Cycle and Letting Toxic People Go are also most informative and well worth spending some time with. Stop Ruining Your Life: A Guide to Overcoming Self Destruction and Loving Your Life Again is a well-written and persuasive book that’s most highly recommended.

Stop Ruining Your Life: A Guide to Overcoming Self Destruction and Loving Your Life Again by Anthony Gucciardi, with Dr. George Thompson, MD, is a short inspirational book that everyone should read. Consisting of fifteen chapters of concise, motivational and interesting topics, this book is simply enlightening. The first chapter reminds readers not to lose touch with the child in them and this could be surprising for most of us trying to play grown up in a world full of responsibilities. The discussions on empathy and love are quite fascinating and really give a whole new meaning to these two misunderstood words. And the chapter The Power of Being Alone is indeed a fitting conclusion to a motivational book that certainly will make a difference in our lives.

Anthony Gucciardi, together with Dr. George Thompson, has come up with a unique guide in Stop Ruining Your Life: A Guide to Overcoming Self Destruction and Loving Your Life Again, and it surely is a gem of a book. Easy to read, relevant and inspiring, this is a book that will motivate us to look at our own lives and the society we live in. The truth is, most of us are losing control of our lives and it is high time to do something about it.
