Author Biography

Aarti Patel is a naturopathic doctor and author who enjoys writing about health, as well as fiction that explores individuality and society's impact on health. She lives in the Pacific Northwest with her family and finds rainy days to be perfect for writing and watching movie marathons. She believes that health is not about perfect diets, hours spent at the gym, a magic cure from supplements or pharmaceuticals, or any one particular belief or ideology. Rather, it's life itself, how we treat it and support it, and the courageous actions of the individual in the face of real life challenges.

The Art of Health: Simple and Powerful Keys for Creating Health in Your Life by Aarti Patel is an insightful book that gives ample information about a relevant topic, health, and will make readers look at it in a different manner. The author uses her years of experience and comes up with good techniques and tips, advising readers to stay true to who they are throughout while practicing the art of health. The book also encourages readers to develop a real connection with their bodies and health so that they can achieve noticeable benefits in how they look and how they feel. Reading this book will motivate readers to understand their symptoms, become experts in their own health, and develop skills to take care of themselves.

I like the author's approach to the topic. Instead of making it purely medical, she handles it in a way that can be comprehended by everyone. The book deals with how to pay attention to your body and its signals, explores why fatigue is so common today, helps bring you back to the core of your health, and the role of lifestyle in how we feel. The author talks about the underlying mind-body connections in health, the effects of control and suppression on the body, and many other topics that will make readers look beyond the formulaic approach of the medical system. This book will help readers think more about health, and the challenge questions in the book are good enough to help readers understand their tiredness and lack of energy. It is a good book to learn about health from a balanced view point.
