The Dragon Of The Month Club by Iain Reading is a young adult fantasy about an exclusive club. When best friends Ayana and Tyler join the club, they are given access to dragon conjuring spells and spend their time trying to conjure the newest dragon of the month. But when the spell backfires, Ayana and Tyler are launched into different worlds inspired by the books strewn across Tyler's bedroom. Ayana and Tyler face German folk stories and more classical tales. In order to return home, Ayana and Tyler must work with each other and the powerful conjured dragons if they ever want to leave the books and go home.

This is a very interesting story that will appeal to fantasy readers. There are a number of interesting dragon characters within the story like Air Dragons, Paper Dragons, Fog Dragons, Waterfall Dragons, Rock Dragons, Tree Dragons and special holiday dragons like the Christmas Holly dragon. But this story will also appeal to fans of literature and die hard readers. People who love good classic stories and look forward to seeing those stories come to life, re-imagined in a contemporary way. This is a fun, wild, wacky ride that takes two lovable characters and puts them into a weird and fantastical situation. Readers will love the magical elements of this story as well as the great references to classic books and literature that should be honored like it is in this tale.
