"The Last Christian" is set in the year 2088. Life has changed in America. It is illegal to discuss religion; it is considered intolerance. Technology is at its peak. It is now possible to create trans-humans. The human brain could be replaced by a computer in a matter of a few hours, with one side effect, loss of contact with God.

Abigail Caldwell is an American raised deep in the jungle of New Guinea. Her family were missionaries to the Inisi. Her village was struck by a disease that affected the brain and brought death within three days. She bravely left the sanctuary of her village and traveled, by canoe, toward civilization, seeking help. She faced snakes, crocodiles, rapids, and her own fears. By the time she and Dr. Kate Sampson arrived at the village by helicopter, it was too late. She heads to America, only to discover that they have turned from their Christian ways. Along with Creighton Daniels, Abby searches for answers: Why did the people of her village die? What happened to her grandfather? Why did Creighton’s father kill himself?

"The Last Christian" is a thriller that will long stay with the reader. Intrigue, conspiracy, murder, romance, and virtual reality are all combined to create one of the best books I have every read. There is a strong Christian message in this book; it touched my heart. I found myself in tears more than once while reading the last few chapters.

This book is well written. The characters are easy to relate to and are well developed. The plot is gripping. This book will make the best seller list! I will be watching for more books by this author.
