I love God's Word and He has gifted me with the ability to write, especially poetry. Easter of 2023, He commissioned me to use this gift to share a poetic rendition of His Word, in storytelling format, where modern-day readers can connect to His unchanging love that transcends time. The Poetry Project: Genesis is a collection of narrative poems by Angela Williams. The poems are derived from the chapters of the Book of Genesis. From creation to the children of Israel in Egypt, the author discusses God’s faithfulness, unconditional love, and favor upon His children. Join Adam and Eve in the Garden of Eden, Abraham on his journey to becoming the father of all nations, and Joseph as he reunites with his family. Get to draw life-changing lessons from their lives and experiences. The author also talks about the story of redemption and the promised coming of the Messiah, Jesus. Get a copy of this book to enjoy these stories from a new perspective.

I enjoyed reading The Poetry Project: Genesis because it is not your typical poetry book. It is unique and makes you view the stories in Genesis from a more modern perspective. Angela Williams uses terms like baby mama drama, one-night stand, and many more, which add humor to the stories and make it easy for readers to resonate with these biblical figures. Her combined use of rhymes, commentary, and historical knowledge showcased her creativity, hard work, and passion. The author narrates the less visited stories like Abram and Sarai in Egypt, Melchizedek, king of Salem, and the continuation of Ishmael's and Esau’s stories. The book has consistent themes of sibling rivalry and complicated family dynamics. I highly recommend this book to anyone who loves poems and Bible stories. I hope to read more from this author because this was fun to read, and I know Genesis is just the beginning. More is yet to come.

So, I stumbled upon this gem of a read called "The Poetry Project: Genesis," and honestly, it's like nothing I've read before. You know how sometimes the Bible can feel heavy and a bit tricky to get through? This book shakes that all up by turning those old, profound stories into something you can actually groove to.

Picture this: The whole creation story laid out in rhymes that stick in your head. It's like that catchy tune you can't forget, but it's actually the beginning of the world we're talking about! The part where the author spins the tale of everything getting made in just six days, and then boom—along comes trouble in paradise—had me both entertained and thinking deep.

This isn't your regular Sunday school lesson. It's God's Word getting a makeover in the coolest way possible, without losing any of the original vibes. It's the kind of book that makes you nod along as you read, and not just because of the rhythm—it's the truth coming at you in a whole new light.

It's the start of a six-book party, and "Genesis" is just the invite. The author's got this goal to show us that the Big Guy upstairs has always been about love, and honestly, they nail it. Whether you're into poetry, looking for a fresh angle on old stories, or just curious about the Bible without the intimidation factor, this book's got you covered.

For anyone who digs the Bible or just enjoys a good rhyme, this book is like finding an unexpected friend. It's heartfelt, smart, and sort of like a gateway to getting why so many people get hooked on those ancient tales. Trust me, give it a go, and you'll end up seeing Genesis in a whole new light—no Sunday best required!
