The Power Brain: Five Steps to Upgrading Your Brain Operating System by Ilchi Lee is a must-read for anyone who wants to outwit mediocrity, reach their peak potential, and succeed in both life and business. It’s no secret that our brains are powerful tools that we use in almost everything. Unfortunately, most people still think that some people are born with better brains than others. In this groundbreaking work, Ilchi Lee uncovers revealing truths about the power of our brains, and offers a proven path to refining the brain system and making it work at its optimal levels. In the heart of this powerful book is the message that will startle many people: our brains are capable of doing infinitely more than we can ever imagine. This book will help you understand the ways you suffocate your brain, beliefs that are harmful to your personal growth, and how to successfully tap into the amazing power of your brain.

The Power Brain: Five Steps to Upgrading Your Brain Operating System is well-written, and shows that the author has done his homework exceptionally well. Ilchi Lee’s writing is clear and concise, a style that will appeal to most readers. The author offers five steps to training the brain and how to use it to create the kind of life anyone wants. The step by step guides are clear and easy to follow. I found this book incredibly useful. If used well, it will completely transform anyone’s life and the way they see reality, including their self-image. The exercises such as “Brain Cleansing,” “Brain Releasing Exercise,” “Brain Breathing Exercise,” and many others are what most of us need to start the day. This book is a treasure I have needed for years, a gift to offer people we love, and an invaluable tool to unlocking the tremendous power of our minds.

In Ilchi Lee’s The Power Brain: Five Steps to Upgrading Your Brain Operating System, he asks the question, “Did you bring your brain?" It would seem like a silly question because our brains are obviously inside our heads, but the point he wants to emphasize is for us to be aware of the existence of our brains, physically and consciously. Then he goes on to describe the best traits of the brain, the background of brain education, exploring energy, the seven tools of brain education, and the five steps to becoming a power brain. Emphasizing that the brain is like a computer with an operating system called the Brain Operating System, Lee informs his readers that it is possible to change and upgrade the brain until it runs to its fullest potential so we can direct our personal lives and the fate of our world in general.

Imagine a world where we have a user’s manual on how to make optimum use of our brains. Ilchi Lee’s The Power Brain is the closest we have to a user’s manual on how to use our brains. In this way, we can recreate our life stories, carve our own destinies, and create a better world. The South Korean author is also the founder of a variety of mind-body training methods and is definitely an expert in this field. Combining Eastern and Western philosophies, Lee comes up with a program composed of simple training exercises that will help us use our brains in improving our lives and the environment we live in. As such, we become a power brain and will possess the skill to refresh our brains akin to a computer. What I really find amazing with The Power Brain is how easily it explains the workings of the complex brain. And if you like to have the choice to delete bad memories and save happy ones, this book is for you!

The Power Brain by Ilchi Lee held my complete interest the entire time I read the book. From the beautiful color scheme and formatting to the informative facts about brain structure and function, this unique book is a must-read. The book begins with an introduction, then goes on to explore the brain in vast detail. The information provided is scientific enough to educate the reader, but not difficult to understand at all. As the book moves on, the author explores how other organs work in conjunction with the brain, what good habits you should develop as far as eating, exercise, sleep, and meditation, and how to stay positive overall. There are so many exercises included in the book, and these exercises include illustrations as a guide for the reader. They were not difficult to follow and were part of what makes the book so fun, educational, and unique.

In reading The Power Brain, I was not only intrigued by the subject matter and the fact that so much information was given about the brain, but also enlightened by the spiritual connections included. Author Ilchi Lee focuses on the scientific while including so much of what makes this study important— the spiritual basis and the importance of positivity. The reader will learn what the brain looks like, but they will also learn how important it is to smile. They will practice breathing exercises, learn physical exercises to strengthen the mind, play brain games, and even learn how to find their own core values. The author emphasizes the importance of positive thinking, even in bad situations, and includes specific exercises to let go of the past. I highly recommend the book to anyone interested in this study, or anyone who wants to use their brain to its highest potential.
