Author Biography

Gabi Salas, the mastermind behind sizzling contemporary romances, believes reading smut is feminist AF. She's the author of the debut series "The Prism Society," a solid one-handed read *wink*. Gabi resides in Kansas City with her husband, hilarious daughter, and a ridiculously cuddly cat named Pepper. When not crafting stories, she's drowning in honey oat milk lattes, binging smutty novels, or dark and twisty murder podcasts.

The Prism Society is a sizzling romance by Gabi Salas. Emma Sinclair grew up as a small-town California girl. After graduating from design school in New York City, Emma and her best friend Jessie are determined to join one of the city's top design firms. Meanwhile, Emma comes across her childhood friend, Liam Bennett, and is shocked to discover that he has completely changed and, somehow, become even more irresistible. Liam and his friend Dominic are opening an exclusive new adult nightclub in NYC and seek Emma's help to design the place. While Emma and Liam begin a passionate relationship, Emma struggles to juggle her work at her firm with The Prism Society. Soon, Emma is on the verge of losing everything she cares about. Can she navigate her professional career with the world Liam has introduced her to?

An intoxicating tale of romance and the pursuit of one's dreams, The Prism Society is a fascinating love story bound to liberate your deepest fantasies. Gabi Salas infuses plenty of humor, drama, and spicy lovemaking scenes into a compelling narrative that has its share of twists and turns. The plot is paced nicely, but it's the characters who make an impression on you. Each character lights up the scene with their vibrant and distinct persona, and Salas's quick-witted dialogue ensures you have a lot of fun reading this book. I loved the dynamic between Emma and Liam, as well as the friendships between the four main characters. If you're a fan of contemporary romance, this book will be right up your alley.

Gabi Salas's The Prism Society features Emma chasing her dreams as a designer. Emma and Liam were best friends growing up. When she decides to pursue her education in New York, Liam is disappointed that she isn’t going to be at the same college. Four years pass, and Emma’s graduation is approaching. She returns from a shopping trip to find Liam waiting outside her dorm. He takes her to dinner, where Liam explains he is partnered with Dominic and is looking to start a business in New York. After signing a noncompete clause for her dream job at Spectra Designs, Emma is asked by Liam to help design the adult fantasy club he is building. Treading the line and violating her job’s rules, Emma becomes more involved in creating The Prism Society. Can she succeed at Spectra Designs while moonlighting for Liam and Dominic?

Gabi Salas wrote a complicated path for Emma to achieve her dream job. The vivid details of Emma’s ideas made me excited as I could envision her work. The supporting characters of Jessie and Dominic help Emma explore her feelings for Liam. I was stunned at how open Liam was about his feelings and dreams for Emma. The vulnerability of his character gave me a deep understanding of his actions. Emma’s perspective showed her overwhelming conflict with Spectra Designs, which stifles her creativity while she has valuable input into Liam’s building. Emma’s strength in planning is also a weakness and Liam bears the brunt of it. I learned that dreams don’t always follow a predetermined path; they can come true in a different way. The Prism Society will appeal to readers who enjoy slow-burn romances featuring character growth.
